Challenge

How to make people buy gift boxes with filled chocolates when they don’t know the brand behind it? This was the challenge for the Carletti-brand behind the delicious Jakobsen chocolates. Carletti came up with the idea to create an entry product: containing the same products – but this time in small bags making it ok to buy them just for yourself. With this solution, the aim was that consumers would buy more, get to know the product better – and as a consequence, see the Jakobsen chocolates as the perfect present.

Solution

To embrace the new less formal use of the product, ensure coherence of the look across the product range and still expressing the high quality of the product, a new design was created: clean-lined, with a fresh modern look and a cheerful, informal tone touching upon the situations in the mind for the new product series.

Results

Not only did we manage to raise brand awareness to Jakobsen with 10%, Product awareness in stores also increased with 25%. But most importantly sales rose with more than 50% making this a great example of how the right design and a successful product launch can increase both awareness, demand and sales.
